Restricted and Special Upper Mustang Trekking

Upper Mustang Trek is the hidden treasure of the Himalayan part of Nepal which is the vicinity enriched with mainly barren ridges, eroded cliffs, deeps canyons, and Moraines valleys. We get the chance to see wonderful views of the mountain, landscapes, small villages, the beautiful scenery, and the small waterfalls of this route. The fabulous mountain scenery and the rich cultural diversity traverses across a wide spectrum of lush rural farmlands and pretty villages. It is an incredibly satisfying one for those who want to experience the hospitality and warmth of the locals living in this remote region. A word of narrow alleyways, hidden Chortens, long walls of beautiful prayer wheel and herds of farming animals sauntering in from the fields in the afternoon to adjourn to their sheds inside the city. Trekking in this route is moderately easy trekking along the acceptable route to Lo Manthang, which lies in the exceptional heart of Mustang. A tourist from all over the world comes to this glorious and serene place to nurture their mind and soul and cherish the nature’s beauty which is known as a ‘Mini Tibet of Nepal’ and a very well-like trekking in Nepal. Actually, the capital of the Mustang district is Jomsom, but the real Tibetan style district lies north of Kagbeni and is usually referred to as the route. The trek offers a spectacular trekking experience in the remote trans-Himalayan mountain region of Nepal.

Upper Mustang Trek begins in Kathmandu with tours of UNESCO world heritage sites and the region boasts of nature with landscapes unlike any other places in Nepal. Along the way, you can find brightly painted Chortens and tiny villages guarded by many monasteries and the wonderful views of the mountain. At the time of trekking, we get the chance to see the wonderful views of the mountain which includes Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and many other mountains of this route. Geographically the land is an extension of the Tibetan plateau, characterized by windy and arid valleys, and unique stratified rock formations. This trek is perfect destinations for visiting oldest monasteries and many other historical caves and Himalayas beauty. This is the most adventurous and beautiful region which is explored by far fewer trekkers than any other trekking destinations. While trekking in this route, we will pass through the many suspension bridges and a small natural hot spring of this route. At the time of trekking, we get a chance to know about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali people who are the local inhabitants of this route. The best season is October to December and February to April for trekking in this route.
